Partnerships

The Institute for Reproductive Health recognizes the importance of partnerships to establish fertility awareness-based (FAB) methods as scientifically based, effective and appropriate for inclusion in family planning and reproductive health programs around the world. Building partnerships with international membership and donor agencies, such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), as well as the USAID global bureau and missions is important as their support is critical to establishing the legitimacy of these methods.

Building support for FAB methods also involves developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private voluntary organizations (PVOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs) and cooperating agencies (CAs). The sustainability of Institute efforts is dependent upon building capacity with international organizations and regional centers so that they may provide training and mainstream these methods into their services.
