Countries and Partners

Most of the work that the Institute does is carried out in collaboration with in-country partners. As a small research organization we have neither the resources nor the presence in-country to conduct research or provide services. Our collaboration with research and service delivery organizations has included:

  • Conducting pilot, efficacy and long term follow-up studies of the Standard Days Method (SDM) and TwoDay Method (TDM);
  • Using operations research and case study methodologies to test alternative strategies for introducing the SDM into a wide variety of programs and services in different settings;
  • Providing assistance and helping to build capacity in local organizations to train and supervise providers in SDM counseling and service provision;
  • Testing the effectiveness of behavior change and social marketing efforts in increasing awareness of and access to the SDM;
  • Testing the effects of SDM scaling-up interventions.

Select one of the countries to learn about the Institute’s collaboration with local groups to introduce, test, scale up or assist in building local capacity for increasing access to fertility awareness-based methods of family planning.
