To expand family planning choice, Advance Africa and the Institute for Reproductive Health (IRH) collaborated to introduce the Standard Days Method® (SDM) into 13 health centers in Huambo province. In 18 months, Advance Africa trained 540 midwives, 120 nurses and 230 community health workers to provide the method. IEC and provider materials were adapted and translated into Portuguese. Over 460 clients chose SDM as their method of family planning.
